On the opening day of the congress, we warmly welcomed colleagues from Eastern and Middle Eastern European countries and awarded the Rolf Grewe Award.
This award, given in memory of our dear colleague and friend, Rolf Grewe, honors outstanding scientific work submitted as an abstract to the annual DOG Congress by young ophthalmologists and scientists from Central Eastern and Eastern Europe. This year’s award was presented to Prof. Dr. Yuliya Huseva from Minsk for her for her study on the Role of the Lamina Cribrosa of the Sclera in the Survival of Optic Nerve Axons.
Congratulations to Dr. Huseva on this well-deserved achievement!
